Jacob (Jake) Strauss is an accomplished executive search consultant. He recently completed his fifth year at StraussGroup and is now a Partner in the firm. His search skills are well-honed, particularly mid-to-senior level manufacturing positions. Jake is also the COO of the firm and oversees the operations and technology platforms. Jake heads up training and facilitates continuous learning sessions with our staff.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, with a focus on Business and Communications. Upon graduating, Jake was recruited to Qualtrics in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was a top performer in their market research and sales division, supporting national and global companies. Qualtrics (recently acquired by SAP) is the leading survey software company in the world and has as its clients the majority of Fortune 100 companies.
The people of Buffalo and the lure of working with his family brought Jake back to Western New York, where he has now settled in. In his spare time, Jake enjoys tennis and golf and participating in civic activities. Jake is currently on the foundation board of the Buffalo Zoo, the Future of Roswell Society, and he volunteers for several other non-profits in Western New York. At Penn State, Jake was a major contributor to THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. THON, a 46-hour continuous dance-a-thon, raises more than $11 million dollars each year – used to provide emotional and financial support to children and families in Pennsylvania who are diagnosed with pediatric cancer.
