Jeffry E. Muthersbaugh, President recently joined our team as a Partner, and was the Founder and President of Heritage Recruiting Group, LLC for 22 years. Jeff has over 30 years of varied experience in the areas of retained executive search, manufacturing, engineering, research & development, sales, marketing, human resources, communications, banking and administration.

He has worked in diverse industry settings such as government,  utilities, construction, banking and chemicals. He has recruited for some of the top companies in the world including Merck & Co., Inc., Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Dell Computer Corp., America OnLine, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Tyco International and StanleyBlack & Decker.

Prior to forming Heritage Recruiting Group, LLC Jeff was Senior Vice President at the retained search firm of Brandywine Retained Ventures, Inc. where he held numerous performance records. He has also held the position of District Manager and Press Secretary for a United States Congressman and owned and operated a company that manufactured and marketed specialty fasteners and security devices to utilities and general industry.

Jeff initially refined his interviewing skills while hosting two television talk shows.  He conducted interviews with President George H.W. Bush, Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Presidential Candidate and Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole and a host of others.

Jeff has been in demand for his skills in broad based recruiting across numerous industries and disciplines.  He also has a reputation for building sales forces comprised of salaried sales people and/or manufacturers’ representatives.  In the past, he revolutionized the gas utility industry by developing and/or introducing security devices that are standard equipment on virtually every gas meter bought in the U.S. and Canada today.  He was also instrumental in making the Congressman he served an internationally recognized figure.

Jeff holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut).  His major was Business Administration.  He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Employment Management Association. He is past Chairman and past Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation (now Preservation Connecticut) and past Chairman of the Trust’s Development Committee.  He is also a past Board Member and President of the Connecticut Lodging Association. He is past Chairman of the CT Bed & Breakfast Association and is past Chairman of the CT Central Regional Tourism District. He is also past Chairman of the Haddam CT Buildings Committee and member of the Middlesex County (CT) Chamber of Commerce Board and past member of the Legislative Committee. He also served on the Connecticut Speaker of the House Blue Ribbon Commission on Tourism. He was the recipient of the Connecticut Governor’s Tourism Volunteer of the Year Award 2016 and the Middlesex Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Tourism/Hospitality Business of the Year Award. He is a Trustee of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Government Affairs Committee and the Transportation & Logistics Council.
